Big Bug! 3.5 Inch Not rebooting after upload!

Hello,

there seems to be a bug in the new version of nextion editor v0.33

I have 3.2 and 3.5 inch displays here.

3.2 works fine, after uploading with nextion editor the device is rebooting.

But not with 3.5 inch.

This is a very big problem because used as an embedded system without own power-control

Display says:

Check Data...100%

Update Successed!

And Nextion Editor Upload:

Connected! Com:COM14,baudrate:115200,Model:NX4832T035_011R(With Touch),firmware Ver:S52,Device serial number:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX,Flash Size:16777216(16MB)

Forced upload baudrate:115200 Start uploading

Download finished! Total time:181Seconds

How can i force a reboot without repower the device?

Itead/Nextion, please don't wait months to solve this!

The Device is brand new, arrived one week ago.

I did another test at an older Display of the same type (2 Month old).

Here everything works great. Reboot after Upload.

Are there any hardware changes?

I have another 50 new Displays here. If they all have this problem i have to send it back.

ITEAD, no comment?

Please fix that asap.

I tested the new 3.2 Displays, and here the same. They do not reboot after Uploading.

Check with older Displays and they do the reboot.

100% same conditions.

Working (Reboot after upload):

Connected! Com:COM4,baudrate:115200,Model:NX4024T032_011R(With Touch),firmware Ver:S52,Device serial number:D6650CB75E566D23,Flash Size:4194304(4MB)

Forced upload baudrate:115200 Start uploading

Download finished! Total time:141Seconds

Not Working (no reboot after uploading):

Connected! Com:COM4,baudrate:115200,Model:NX4024T032_011R(With Touch),firmware Ver:S52,Device serial number:DE6450B3631C6B2B,Flash Size:4194304(4MB)

Forced upload baudrate:115200 Start uploading

Download finished! Total time:143Seconds

Alex,

Did you ever get any clarification/fix on this? I've tried sending rest after upload and it doesn't reset. Only power cycle resets it. -Kris

Hello,

as i got the quick answer from ITEAD there is something wrong at the software-reboot-circuit on the board.

I had to remove C5 and R9 on all my displays.

Then everything is fine.

Hope that helps.
